Tips for keeping your hands hydrated
In today’s article, I want to share with you some tips for keeping your hands hydrated. Sometimes the question arises whether we have enough time for our hands.? Do we choose a good hand cream or mask? Lack of attention to this aspect can lead to unwanted results on rough, chapped hands and brittle nails. Meanwhile, beautiful hands don’t take a lot of effort. You just need to know and follow the main stages of care.
The first and main stage is for keeping your hands hydrated:
Purification.
For everyday hand washing, I try to choose a good soap with extracts of chamomile, calendula, glycerin, vitamins A, E, C. These ingredients additionally soften and moisturize the skin.
Take time to thoroughly cleanse your hands once a week. Use a scrub, exfoliation, or hand mask.
Before applying the product, use a sea salt hand bath at the rate of one tablespoon of salt per glass of water. The water should be pleasantly warm, never hot, as it degreases the skin. Dip your hands in the water and relax for 10-15 minutes.
During this time, the beneficial mineral components of sea salt will have time to restore the skin, strengthen the nails, activate the healing mechanism of cracks and minor damage to the skin and soften.
Then it’s time to scrub. The abrasive particles of this product are included in a cream or gel base. Apply a small amount of the product to damp hands and massage for two to three minutes.
This way you will remove old dead epidermis particles, renew the skin of your hands, make it smoother and softer, and, in addition, promote better penetration of the active ingredients of all subsequent cosmetic preparations into the deep layers of the skin.
The next step is Moisturizing.
After washing off the scrub with water, dry your hands well. The longer the moisture stays on the skin, the drier and chapped it will eventually become. Apply hand moisturizer, massage well into the skin. Try to choose a cream enriched with herbal ingredients.
The last step is Protection.
It is very important to protect your hands from aggressive factors.
Try to avoid chapping or frostbite of your hands – you will have to make an effort to restore the skin.
Any detergents for dishes and powders very spoil the skin of the hands. They wash away the protective fat layer and injure the unprotected skin of the hands. Try to wear rubber gloves.
But many people find it uncomfortable to work with rubber gloves, what can be done? In this case, apply a special protective cream to the skin before starting work. It allows air to pass through, but does not allow the aggressive components of the household product to damage the skin. Do you want your hands to stay young as long as possible? Apply sun protection cream before going outside in summer. This way you will protect yourself from unwanted pigmentation and photo-aging.
